Maxence Landon

Biography

Maxence Landon discovered sculpture in 2016, looking for a balance that his professional experiences were not providing. Very quickly, contact with clay became a revelation, a profound and liberating means of expression that imposed itself on him as a vocation.

In 2017, he decided to devote himself fully to this art form, training intensively to acquire the necessary technical know-how. In 2019, his commitment led him to become a sculpture teacher and modelling instructor at Sevran town hall. In 2020, he obtained a certificate as a ‘sculptor and modelling sculpture workshop leader’, affirming his desire to pass on his passion.

Through his work, Maxence Landon explores the essential question of identity and the meaning of existence. His figurative approach, tinged with surrealism, translates his emotions and inner reflections, in a process that is both instinctive and meditative. The transformation of some of his works into bronze, in collaboration with the Fonderie Chapon, marks a new stage in his artistic career, while retaining his attachment to terracotta and ceramics.

A constantly evolving artist, he is gradually opening up to more contemporary forms of expression and exploring new materials. His works, imbued with sensitivity, seek to soften our perception of existence and create a universal dialogue between the viewer and the material.
