Biography

Orientalist painter, pupil of J. Schrader in Berlin. A prize from Rome enabled him to spend two years in the Eternal City. Nathaniel Sichel gained great renown as a figurative artist, portraitist, history painter and lithographer. He is best known for his striking depictions of feminine beauty.
