Biography

William Henry Hamilton Trood  was a British painter known for his detailed often charming depictions of animals, especially dogs. The works of quality of realism and attention to detail, capturing the unique personalities and emotions of the animals he paints.

The details of his life and upbringing are not well documented, but he showed an early aptitude for art. During his lifetime, Trood's works were very popular and were exhibited in prestigious the Royal Academy in London.
